National Statistics are one thing but are they even relevant when thinking of our own businesses, homes or ourselves.

Using information straight from our regional Police Forces we have compiled some interesting figures.

All Statistics are for 2001/02 unless otherwise stated due to Police publications.

But before you search your local area, here are a few interesting National Statistics.

There were 11.7million crimes against adults living in private households according to the British Crime Survey in 2003/04 of which Property crime takes the lion share at 78%

The British Crime Survey suggests that there were 943,000 burglaries in England and Wales for the year 2003/04 which is roughly 3 in 100 households

Interestingly only just over 60 percent were reported to the Police.
